So I just finished the Ravager Summoning quest in Borrowhelm, after gaining honored rep with them.
But from what I read u have to attack him the 1st time u talk to him if u want him to drop the key to the cellar in the village.
I am friendly with the faction - what can I do to open cellar ?
That also - I have just recieved last Anasteria quest to go in Port Old/High Town and kill a dude, forgot name now, but if i want to enter prison, only way is to crreate new char ?
Isnt there a way to go against her after i finish that quest ?
I mean i wouldnt want that if there is any other way to enter prison !
You can change your decision whether to befriend Anasteria (and Barrowholm for that matter) with every difficulty. Otherwise, you have to choose between Anasteria’s quests (and faction vendor as a result) or her dungeon - you cannot have both on one character.
I just read somewhere that to get an achievement u have to kill a boss in the cellar in Borrowholm, but to get in there u have to fight them, and im almost max rep level at their faction, im friendly with them…so does this mean that if u chose to help them, without reading forums, as the story should be played, u cannot kill a unique boss in game, and better yet, cannot get that achievement on the current level…i did it at ultimate, i dont want the elite achievement, and overall there should be a way to enter the cellar even if u frienly, like every other faction, u should be able to do acces all in game content even if u enemy or firendly with a faction.
If one does not read forums, and wants to play the story without knowing what will happen if, he will do the same thing on every diff level, and always lock some game content…all in game content should be accesable, maybe by different quests…but still…im left out of the cellar on ultimate…i cant enter anasteria prison on ultimate…its kinda…lame to say…
Who cares? I’m not sure it’s even possible to get all the achievements on just one character, which is fine because you aren’t supposed to be playing just one character.
The achievement is for killing a boss you only meet if you’re friendly with them.
Relax.
There’s an argument to be had here about factions and choices and what “locked out” means, but I’m going to let someone else have that argument with you.
I agree u should not have all achievements on just one char - cause there is HC mode also, and maybe achievements that ar class based.
But - in-game content should not be locked cause u made a choice, that u didnt know anything about before doing.
Again - not all players read about the quests before they do it - it ruins the story…so finding out after, I should create a new char, get to ultimate, just to enter Fort Ikon Prison and Borrowholm Cellar, and maybe maximum 3-4-5 more places ? does not seem right…
Grim Dawn is a game where your choices can have consequences and just like in life, there’s no big glowing signs giving you info on what the result of your choices are, and it’s not really content locked, it’s a case of there’s 2 bits of content and you choose between them which to access.
Basically you cannot have everything with a single char.
Edit… GD is not a hand holding game where you get everything given to you regardless of what you choose to do in the game. Also GD isn’t the first or only game that gives you choices which change what you can do elsewhere in the game.
For me, this kind of choices and consequences is one of the best things in the game. It totally helps to sell out the apocalyptic atmosphere, where everyone wants to survive no matter what.
