Two merchants visited the exchange. We will call the merchant who came first ‘A’ and the merchant who came after ‘B’. A is buying a tree for 5 gold and B is selling a tree for 7 gold. If you open a sales window to sell trees right before A leaves, the sales window will remain open even after A leaves. B is selling the tree for 7 gold, but is forced to buy it because of the sales window.
B was not selling at his own price, but A’s transaction information remained.
Effectively you are trading an item that trader A wanted using trader B’s gold. We’ll address this in a future update.
