Shadow Strike feedback

Yeah, you only need Spectral Bludgeon for full Cold TSS.

Except I wanted to exploit the global conversion :stuck_out_tongue: Which allowed me to exploit lightning devotions and lightning damage components.

Muwahahahaha!:

Shifted points around to support SS more, and lo, it’s now even faster at killing stuff. Also much more tanky now that I’ve added Hyrian so the shield is more effective too. So his accursed troll build can also technically do SR34-35, but it’s very much a ā€œ1 mistake and you will dieā€ sort of affair.

In short, it’s like playing Dark Souls and usually I’d give up trying to run SR34-35 with that sort of bs, but dear Ch’thon, it’s glorious to be focused on piano gameplay and see everything just die. Carves through SR30-31 very nicely, even when I forgot to get the Blade Spirits out back when they had Rumour bound to them.

Definitely now the silliest build I’ve created. It’s piano, it can die way too easily, but once everything falls into place it sings a song of icy DOOM.

i’m just gonna pretend i didn’t see you slot gravtouch shield

Hey, don’t knock it, single hand SS still hits like a truck. And the shield has cooldown%, cast speed and bleeding resist.

I think I can put together a dual wielding one using the MI and a melee weapon with some -RR% for cold. Going to be a bit painful though due to probably having to drop the TSS epic set for SS skill points and also get enough TSS skill points. But I model it’s doable :3 and maybe without a double rare too.

As that belt was originally needed for resistances back in the 1.0 version. Can sub it out for a acid/pierce resistance prefix + ā€œof The Winter Stormā€ with only some damage% loss. But it’s one double rare, and it’s a meme build and meme I shall!

Not that I’ll be theory crafting it tonight, because I woke up at 6am and couldn’t get back to sleep, so already starting to loose words

where

you could also merely not focus on hardcapping Nightfall, since it doesnt’ require it/you gain relatively low fburns for it per point, so free skill points should be plenty shifting 9 out and letting bonus carry it instead

also, you took Breath of Belgothian transmuter (habit?) despite not being dual wield

Oh, those mistakes are all due to me being sleep deeeeeeprived… Took up the shield on a whim, and then go distracted by my Bonk Fella Cadence builds etc.

Could have sworn that shield had cooldown, guess I got mixed up with a different one. Anyhow, cast speed is a must for this build, since it’s a caster piano build and more cold RR% is a must due to Kuba and Fabius

Right, sleep calls to me, as in I’m dangerously close to faceplanting into my keyboard.

Really not sure why you’re bothering with all these suboptimal global lightning->cold items. You have no lightning skills that need this as far as I can tell. Just use the bludgeon, so you can equip some real gear

Because I’m using Seal of Skies skill for my main attack + I have skyshard powder on the rings for OA staking purposes :stuck_out_tongue:

So all of that lightning damage is instead cold and so doesn’t end up running into the usual fun with high lightning resistances.

Anyhow, messed around in GT with TSS/SS using the sceptre for conversion:

Nothing’s bound, because I’m feeling lazy, health’s annoyingly low, but should be fine in SR30-31 and has enough CB’s to survive. Totally provisional too, since obviously could do with @Gnomish_Inquisition feedback :3 …And just remembered I should have 1 pointed RoS and it’s stuff, derp, as transmuted it’s good CC. Oh well, there’s enough points available for that.

Will do even better with that FoA set of course, since then both SS and TSS can be maxed out, as at present the available gear and suffixes don’t work quite in harmony. Well, outside of Nightfall and Frozen Core of course.

As for why Dual Blades isn’t maxed out, simply 20% PR is enough for SR30-31.

Anyhow, current state of Trozan’s Troll after experimenting some more:

This is still the tankiest and most cold based one, but Tempest works nicely if Amatok is swapped for it and even adding Ultos can work too. Just feels a bit slower sadly as Blizzard and Tempest both hit harder.

I was thinking more like this (messed around a bit):

But there’s a million items to choose from for TSS, so  Fixed the atrocious hp by going tree and giant in the devos.

The one I’ve been playing with myself has Aeon, but low hp and is quite squishy. Main focus was TSS and flash freeze, so a bit different. (Not too happy with it yet) maybe I should try the devo I just came up with

Looks good, need to go to bed already so that all you’ll get for now :stuck_out_tongue:

Though the 1st is probably going to be surprisingly tanky. Though the lack of fire to cold conversion nerfs it’s TSS damage a bit. Also not enough cold devotions damn it.

edit - I lied, one look at those resistances and so I was drawn to bloody fix it:

Less health, but all resistances 20%+ now. Bar freeze resist, because it can mostly be covered by crafting bonuses to close enough to 80% that it’s fine.

As for the 2nd one… Nope, not touching it, I need sleep Ch’thon damn it. But yeah, main issue with that devotion path is the completely lack of a circuit breaker. Giant’s Blood helps, but Ghoul is so much better on a build with Star Pact and an offhand with cooldown reduction.

Oh wait, derp, touched it >_< Bloody ADHD and Autism lawl. Also those resists are terrible, terrible and terrible. And a death sentence in Deep SR too :stuck_out_tongue: Plus Night’s Chill should have more points in it really, 19/10 is were I aim for, because Kuba is so annoyingly cold resistant that every % point helps

Anyhow, for mine I was wanting access to Dual Blade’s physical resist% + the transmuter for Pneumatic Breath, which helps a lot with survivability. Also keep with the ā€œtrollā€ theme since enemies would assume it’s a melee build only to get a sinking feeling when TSS drops on their heads and they’re shredded by Chill Spikes from a distance :3

Forgot about about the ā€œAssassinā€ prefix, going to borrow that to up SS a bit more :3 Well, sort of, as I’d need to readjust skill points yet again. And loose some health too.

Right, bed, before I get side tracked and it winds up 4am NZ time again :upside_down_face:

Yeah I understand, but I found 12% phys on Iskandra

And I’ll shut up now, I think we derailed the thread enough.
