I also love the commandos series, and picked this up, on the third mission now.
I am finding the game great, there are also several ways to do one objective. and the AI seems pretty decent too, especially if you make too much noise, or (in the snow level /s) enemies can follow foot prints.
the characters seem to be a nice mix
one heavy duty samurai (been able to kill 3 units in close proximity is great, and has a good lure.
one ninja type guy that can kill at medium range, able to swim, climb up buildings. and has a distraction.
s small child that has a bird call and set traps.
a woman that can be a distraction (like the spy in commandos)
and a sniper with limited shots
I think for me, I like the samurai and the child so far.
Also each level has badges to unlock, like killing 3 people with an Ox, or not kill any civilians. So there is replay value.
I think the only problem is, it only has 13 levels,
you can pick it up a bit cheaper on green man gaming,
But so far, I say this is a must bye for anyone who liked the commandos series.
