Hi,
I am currently following a build I found on the forum because it has a nice leveling guide and claims that it can do SR65 pretty easily. The problem I am facing right now is that I followed the build got all the required items and I am struggling to do SR40 on normal. My question is did I do something wrong when I leveled the character / must I grind for better MI items or is the build just outdated.
Also is there a difference between normal/elite/ultimate SR drops?
sr levels changed in the most recent update.
So what was sr 65 before is not the same today, and you’re actually exceeding it by being on sr40
sr 65 before = SR 26 now
so when you see prior build threads with high SR numbers divide them by 2.5 to get the new SR level
yes, SR gives out higher reward amount on Ultimate, so simply just more items on same shard (ex could be 6-8 legends on sr 30+31 Normal but 14-16 on Ultimate).
I don’t remember if the SR specific sets(Ember’s/Goredrinker etc) could drop on Normal, legit can’t remember, i think maybe they didn’t? - but i could very well remember wrong as it’s been long since i checked that thorough
Thanks for the help and fast response I picked up the game a few months ago and the community is really friendly and helpful. Also do you have any fun builds worth trying out?
also worth to note, that aside from exceeding it, there is no loot past 36-37 now then
and optimal loot/SP farming is way lower, Ultimate SR 26-27 for regular/starter builds and 30-31 for endgame setups,
*Normal SR is stil fine for beginner farm, you just wanna do it has high as possible because of the reduced item payout, so shard 30-31++ preferably
depends what you like or think is fun, there is aaa lot of potential stuff to build in GD
*this compendium isn’t maintained anymore so majority of builds aren’t remotely updated, but it might give a quicker glance/build overview than just the build section, - you just then need to find updated versions of said builds in different threads ofc
and also this Grim Dawn Builds but is again just a brief overview, tho you can plop in a few criteria to narrow things down like class or skill you might like
