Shattered Realm lacking Information Prior to Entry

I understand I am currently unwell so that may be infulencing my judgement at least today. I also realised I hadn’t made a forum account as I am primairly a steam forums user, so this is new to me. This so much better laid out.

Over the few months I’ve really gotten into shattered realm runs. I was having a great time untill I realised the reason I was loosing was the modifers, the randomised bosses, and some of the Celestials. I am aiming for loot and things like that, the main that the mode lacks is information.

Path of Exile and Diablo 2: Resurrected have information in the game that tells you excatly what you will face before you face it. POE’s Map modifers and tier out of 16 tell you excatly what you can expect and how to adapt to it. While random the information is in the map item and can be rerolled or crafted to have specific wanted modifers. With D2R the information on the monsters as you enter and can reroll at your own lessure usually really cheaply. Shattered Realm doesn’t have a list anywhere in game of what to expect, but have guides elsewhere on the internet.

I reckon if we were told the excat modifers and bosses I would have a lot more fun as frankly all my level 100 builds are better at doing different things. My Deathknight, It is a boss killer able to take on all but Death’s Vigil nemesis and if I play poorly Eldritch nemesis on ultimate and gets to shard 28 comfortably on Ultimate. If I was told, “this is the modifer X, Y, Z plus this is the Boss A, B, and C” I could plan or use another Waystone to reroll till I get what I want.

Personally I like the random bosses, although there are too few of them. I’ve done hundreds of SR runs above 30 and the bosses kinda blend together eventually. I want more bosses. I wanna fight Gutworm at SR36+. Why not?

Modifiers are in the top right, under the minimap, but I don’t even look at them unless 36+, because they really make no difference with a finished build until then. Okay, maybe some very specific combinations will.

I don’t know what you mean by Celestials. There are no Celestials in SR. Do you mean Nemesis’?
Edit: Well I guess Korvaak or Morgoneth are Celestial technically, but not the way I meant it. (not superbosses)

Celestials was to get a baseline for the power of my deathknight and comment on what content this character can do very comfortably, I mention nemesis as well. I want to know excatly what I am facing and the modifiers on that content. In all honesty not knowing that information gets me into situations I have no buisness doing.

I am wanting full transparency on the shattered realm.

i don’t remember if the talk was to let us customize modifiers for SR in FoA, or if that was purely relegated to world map ascension altar(/if mixing up player suggestion vs actual dev input), fixed bosses i don’t think was ever on the table nor would expect to be.
But part of the deal with SR, like Crucible, is randomness; you’re supposed to be able to handle every situation and make the char capable of all the bosses, not specific individual ones only.
That’s part of the challenge, to overcome universal adversity instead of ex Ravager v Calla; building to deal with 1 specific obstacle and “ignoring” the rest.

I understand that, all I want is more information transparency before I go so I can be mentally and gear wise prepared. My character can handle 95% of things. I would like to know what the other 5% is doing and how I can prepare for it.

Crucicble makes sense as that is a horde-rouge-like mode. Shattered realm I feel needs just a little bit more information. I feel with path of Exile and D2R out there, there really isn’t an excuse anymore. I just want to know what I am getting into.

I’m pretty sure that the content of shards and boss rooms is not a property of waystones. A waystone just lets you choose the shard you start from.

At all events, part of the challenge of SR is that it’s random and that you might get any boss that’s in the pool for that level. If there are bosses that your build can’t handle then it’s a sign that it’s not ready for that level (at least, not to farm it).
