I think there should be additional information in the tooltips of character skills that shows how many points are manually allocated and how many points are allocated through items. It would be a really large QoL.

+1. Or, something like the shift+click from grimtools, or anything else more elegant.
This is a great idea, I often remove a skill point in a skill and realise only 1 of the 7 are actually skill points I put in there.

Yea, exactly… Happens to me often - waste of respec value.
Yeah and for skills like Cadence I’m going to have it at max ultimate rank and if I change my gear up it might go over 26 and then my skill points are wasted without me even knowing.
