They used to give long lasting buffs with meaningful effects, rewarding longer Shattered Realm runs. Now it’s become just a 30 second power spike. Which also gets removed if you enter chunk 4 - which is where the bonuses could actually be useful, so you can’t even time them for right before you hop into the portal. Right now, it just feels like a waste of an Aether Shard and I mostly just skip them. The 30 second duration really kills it, IMO at least.
They were always useless… Just remove them.
Red? shrine was(is?) pretty good granting a fat TDM bonus, unironically stonks to run with if lucky enough to get it in a run even with the old expensive cost
Don’t get rid of them. Turn them into a totem type event that is optional that can do stuff like improve the overall rate of double MI with increasing difficulty or some such…basically small FoA altar effect during the SR run? I dunno.
It required development time. Might as well put that time to good use.

Yeah; for a relatively low entry cost it still feels too underwhelming.
