Silver Spread, the skill from Silvercore Bolts, could use some range and speed boost.
It is extremely awkward to use as a ranged skill due to it low range and slow moving projectiles.
The spread is problem itself as well as most of the time the spread is so narrow that it might as well be a single projectile.
This is mostly a blessing not a curse. Most people here like more single target damage since sufficient AoE is easier to come by.
More speed and range is nice but it’s not a huge deal IMHO. The most dangerous monsters are typically melee chargers anyway.
Chaos Bolt is an example of a skill that (still) badly needs a projectile speed buff, although its range is OK.
Yes, silver spread really need some improvement. I tried it and i think it’s one of the worst skill in the game while the composant is hard to craft…
Guess it is up to what build you are playing.
I am currently playing a physical/pierce Witchblade buff and heal so my choice of AoE is only Cadence with the modifier.
Yes it is nice to be able to shotgun tougher creatures with Silver Spread but it should also have a longer range where the spread becomes wider to help clear groups.
I think the speed and range for Silver Spread should at least be the same as Phantasmal Blade, currently it is really awkward to use as a ranged skill.
Alright I’ve changed my opinion about this skill. It definitely needs a speed and range buff to “feel right” and generally be more enjoyable to use.
