I have a problem. I cannot craft Skeleton keys on a few of my characters now, though I think I know why…
I had a…let’s call it a hiccup? A while back, some of my game files got corrupted. I managed to save the majority of my characters (though I did lose 1), but I also lost whatever file it was that stored my blacksmith progress…I had to start from fresh, rebuilding ALL of my blueprints. Including my Skeleton Key blueprint.
The problem is, I have 3 or 4 characters who have already completed Kalderos’ quest in the Steps to kill Zarthuzellan. In all of the three difficulties. So I have no way (that I am aware of) of obtaining the blueprint for the Skeleton Key. Is there an alternate source of this blueprint in the game somewhere, or am I going to have to level a fresh toon up to that point to unlock it for the account? I’m not even 100% sure that unlocking it on one toon will fix this issue on my exiting 100’s. lol.
It should do, far as I know. Once a character has learnt a blueprint/recipe then all your characters share those at the blacksmiths. So check a blacksmith and see if you can craft a key with them. Will be in the components section right at the bottom of the list.
If that doesn’t work then the only way to get it for those characters would be to use GDStash to go to the crafting section, find the blueprint and put into the transfer stash.
Okay, I wasn’t sure if the blueprints unlocked for the account or the character. Never paid that close of attention. heh. If it doesn’t work, I use IA, so it should be the same principle. Put it into IA on a lower level (since you get three per character) and give it to one of my 100’s. I hadn’t even considered this, as I usually don’t bother stashing BPs. heh.
Also, for anyone else wondering about this, Thank you to one BiffLipstand for being the only one with the presence of mind to tell me that the secret vendor in the Blood Grove (the one that sells the Troll Bonecrushers) actually sells this blueprint.
