I’ll try to keep it brief and to the point so as not to take up too much of your time reading this:
- I would like you to add a button to the settings to disable hero’s self illumination of area around.
At night, there’s a halo of cold white light around the character, which, to my taste, doesn’t look very nice—especially when it overlaps with other light sources like torches and lamps.
- I’d also like to see an option to choose whether passive abilities and buffs are automatically applied once they’re learned in skill tree.
Because, as far as I remember, we used to have to cast them manually from the skill panel.
Yeah, I get that this was done for speed and convenience, but I don’t think it would be that hard to make it customizable. These little details are unnecessary but part of the gameplay, in my opinion—like buffing up before a fight, etc.—and for me personally we already simplify and speed up so many aspects of our lives. There aren’t really any such projects left that give you the feeling of playing something like you did as a child as Grim Dawn
And of course, sometimes good to see the character as they are, without the visual effects of auras not just in menu screen.
- Some gameplay feedback about early game stage after returning in game I came back to after about two years and decided to try a Mystic. Veteran difficulty as i usually start.
I’m still at the beginning of the game, but something feels weird.
Wouldn’t Calidor’s Tempest be more balanced from having small cooldown of a few seconds.
Right now I don’t really see the point of using any other skills or attack with weapon. I just gather up a pack from map, cast Calidor’s Tempest a 1-2 times (I’ve invested 12 points into it so far but it almost one shot even on low level), and with Kyzzog’s skull converting damage to fire and adding extra damage, everything dies. If i see something fat , I just hold the button until I’m out of energy, drink a potion without even releasing the key, and keep going if still needed.
I don’t really move or use dash. The skill itself looks great and feels satisfying to use. But looks like it out of balance.
Just providing my gameplay experience as mentioned in “feedback tips”
