Whats more effective for utility?
Fumble / Impaired Aim.
This. Fumble works on bosses, which is a huge part of why Searing Light is such an amazing 1-point-wonder.
̶F̶r̶e̶e̶z̶e̶ Too soon
Confusion from Flashbang or Tainted Eruption is relatively strong and comes bundled with something you actually want on top, maybe the stuns from Blitz and Blade Arc too, even if I find them ending up more annoying than not on melee builds…
Imo, hard cc isn’t worth dedicating resources for the sake of it, given that it’s completely useless against bosses and above.
Thanks you guys helped me so much
Wait, Impaired Aim does not work on bosses, only fumble does? Thought of leveling up wind devils on druid for defense, but if it doesn’t work on bosses, no point, they’re too slow for big mobs.
Stronger actual CC is immobilisation and freeze. Immobilization on grasping vines work on flesh hulks to some extent and many heroes as well. Freeze is obvious complete lock and it is probably one of the least resisted on par with immobilisation. Knockback and stun are more often resisted.
They add some defense, but they are great for offense, with RR and some hefty DPS if you actually fill them out. If you’re running a Lightning heavy build, Wind Devils do very well for you. They’re also great for Devotion Procs IMO.
I mean the basic skill, it has physical, electrocute and impaired aim. While electrocute does get some support in Trozan build, it’s still weak, so the main point of interest is impaired aim.
AFAIK the main point of interest is Res Reduction. Anything else is handy on the side for most people. If I recall correctly, it’s elemental res reduction, so Trozan’s would benefit fully from that, the actually important piece of the skill.
Again, I mean the base skill, the one called “Wind Devil”. I know that Raging Tempest decreases elemental resistance, and I do have points in it. But what interests me right now is whether or not bosses are susceptible to Impaired Aim that Wind Devils inflict, because other than Impaired Aim, there’s nothing worthwile in “Wind Devil” skill.
I can’t say as I’ve heard anyone else separate things quite like that. Most people just seem to see things less as Wind Devil, and two other modifiers, but more as Wind Devil has three pieces. Interesting way to look at it.
Yes, there’s very little to offer in the first piece of Wind Devil. Many just max the second part and leave one in the first. I’ve seen some max parts two and three, and still leave one in the base. Shrug.
What about “Slow” guys?
Doesn’t work on bosses and is pretty much the worst cc if you ask me. Stun, knockback both have 100% slow
