Hello,
in a game so much centered on resistance, I’m surprised so many factions items have none.
This is also valid for augments.
Are those items actually used ?
Are their “pros” good enough to counter this absence of resistance ?

Not sure what you mean with this. Revered armor augments are ONLY with resistances. Also there are some for rings amulets and medals with resistances as well. As for items, i’m pretty sure i’ve seen armor pieces with resistances. Not all of them that’s for sure but still they are not required since you also have components to use, some skills and devotions
The Ashes of Malmouth faction gear is pretty rich in resistances. Non-expansion gear is less so and is scattered around a bit more. Elite Harvest Footpads Is probably one of the better faction pieces from the non-expansion factions.
Looking more closely as I get more and more Epic items, there are also a lot which have no resistance.
I looked at the level 65 (65 ! I insist) augments of Malmouth Resistance, none have resistance.
I repeat the question: are those items with 0 resistance actually used ?
As I said in my post (and even more here with higher levels): I find really strange so high level items have no resistance.

I was speaking specifically about the Level 65 Helmets, Shoulders and Chestguards - for Barrowholm, Coven of Ugdenbog and Malmouth Resistance, the vast majority of these offer ~20-30% to 2 different resistances per gear slot (there are some that only add a chunk to one but these items are in the minority). They also have a variety of + skill bonuses which are also nice.
I repeat the question: are those items with 0 resistance actually used ?
I use the augments while levelling up if I don’t desperately need resists. You don’t need capped resists in Elite for Acts 1 to 4, usually around 40-60% does fine.

1.I don’t see ANY armor pieces without resistances.
2. Weapons aren’t made for resistances.
3. Ring and weapon augments aren’t all of em made for resistances.
4. There are 3 armor augments at malmouth resistance. One with vitality resistance, one with aether and pierce, and one with vitality and bleeding.
That being said i really dunno what you’re talking about.
Your topic title and some of your first post implied to me that you were looking at all faction items, not just augments
Not sure what you mean by augments not providing resists, just looking at ones from Levels 40 - 65, there are around 10-15 that do, most seem to be from the pre-expansion factions.
.
Ones that I can that do are:
Arkovian Rose Powder
Blessed Ashes
Chillheart Powder
Consecrated Silver
Corpsefiend Tentacle
Dermapteran Chitin
Divine Flame
Gazer Eye
Necrotic Flesh
Slith Venom
Storm Powder
Voidvine Powder
Rotflesh Powder
Again, If I do not desperately need resists, I will probably use augments from barrowholm/the Coven/Malmouth when I can as they generally provide better offensive bonuses, otherwise, I will consider using some of the above augments or just look for better gear/use components.
Edit: Looking at weapon/accessory augments for Level 50 and 90, there are quite a few more than 10-15 as well.
Dude, again, weapon augments are not made for resists. A lot of the ring and amulet ones are but not all of them. Armor augments, which you get at revered reputation are made for resists
No I was not talking about augments only, but items in general.
The link above is just an example.
I’m not telling none have resist at all, I’m telling some have resistance, thankfully, but some do not.
And the question is: why some have no resistance, in a game where capping them is primordial ?
Are those items with no resistance used at all, or are they just ignored ? (And seeing the answers I have the feeling they are not only ignored, but also completely forgotten).
Guys, just load up the game, go to rovers or any other faction, and see for yourself. Just browse the items there.
Do all of them need resistances though? You have other means of increasing your resistances such as devotion, masteries, components and so on.
There’s nothing wrong with having some focus more on offense if you are already getting your defense from elsewhere (and have an abundance of it) or focus on different aspects of defense than resists such as armour, health, defensive ability etc.
