Soldier health bug

For some reason, all soldiers in my barracks are at something like 2/3 health even though nothing happened to them in years. This is very jarring, as I’m getting attacked by raiders and losing 1/3 of your entire army health is a big deal.

When first recruited, soldiers get a health penalty so you don’t just recruit them when raids arrive.

But I didn’t just recruit them, these soldiers have been sitting in this Barracks for the past four years, since the previous raid.

I had something similar happening to my soldiers once when I saved before a raid happened and then loaded the game. After loading the soldiers got a health penalty and I was wondering. Did you load the game? Is this health penalty also on purpose when loading a game to „prevent“ saving before a raid and then reloading and retrying until a good outcome? Or maybe the cause is still something else and it was just a coincidence.

Is that penalty intended to be applied when loading from save too?

It happens to soldiers and guards on save load or when upgrading/moving towers and barracks. No idea if all those are intentional or not.

If it is, then… well that’s incredibly silly. It should be removed.

Do they have weapons and armor? Mine normally start off like this and as they get their weapons and armor their health increases

Soldiers disappear during raids. They will be in combat & some might get killed. But, if no villagers and no soldiers get killed, after the battle, most of the soldiers are just gone… Must have deserted…
