Solo Build

I know everyone will say I am silly for what I have done but, I Like this game because I don’t have to be like everyone else and I can do my own thing! I hate these games that have one way to build your hero and that’s it because every other way is too weak! I have many hero’s and all are solo builds, being one is a Demolitionist 86, solider 58, shaman 55, nightblade 55, occultist 55… My question is can anyone help me with some suggestions or tips for what I should focus on when building said solo builds? My main hero is the demolitionist, I need equipment for him at the moment, he’s finding it very hard to beat Ashes of Malmouth beasts… And ultimate is just a bit to hard… Little gear and I should be good, my main worry is whether I should focus on fire or physical damage?

your biggest issue is a severe lack of life. you have less then 5k life :frowning:

Single classes are viable for main campaign but you have a harder time gearing because of lack of stats (Physique mostly to equip better gear)

Yep, I have noticed that… I may have to splice a second class but I want to stay as I am for as long as I can until it is no longer possible to continue… Just not sure what I should mix it with.

You don’t necessarily have to mix it with anything. What you could do is take a second mastery and just climb the mastery bar to give you more str/dex/spirit/health/energy. The character’s class name will change of course, but otherwise they’ll still effectively be just a Demo, Soilder, etc, since you’re not going to be using any skills from the other mastery.

4.5k health is low for your level. I guess gameplay revolves around engaging only when blast shield is up for you?

You also missed a very good offensive+defensive skill, flashbang+searing light. It’s much more efficient to skill those first before you get two attack skill. Grenada may not even do more damage than fire strike. Even if it does the extra damage will be low in comparison to flashbang+searing light utility.

Canister bomb makes more sense if you use fire strike attacks because it’s damage is higher given its cd + it shotguns single targets. Also it is cheaper on skill points than Grenado (improved casing is one point unless high physical to fire convert). Also canister is really nice aoe and is easier for kiting situations which you might need.

I think you should leave the character as demo only; just take a break from it if you find it hard as you’ll find it easier as you become more experienced. I’m sure it’s possible you just need to prepare and plan the build better

I don’t try to get blast shield up before entering combat, I tend to launch Blackwater cocktail and grenado, then fire strike them to death, with a bit of kiting… depending on how big opponent is. Do you think I should keep blackwater or switch for flashbang or stun jacks? Should I get canister Bomb?

I meant that when blast shield has been used up, with your low health it is a dangerous time.

You need transmuted BWC because it gives physical damage reduction debuff + nice OA reduction debuff. Demon fire is not ideal. So is grenado as I said. Get Flashbang + Canister instead as a priority. Thermite mines RR is also too good to ignore.

Once you do that you can change devotion around to be more optimal. Meteor to flashbang, torrent to FS, get eldritch fire on BWC.

Thank you for the advice! I am still learning this game, I will play around a bit more and try your idea out.

Ok, this is how he is now… I am at a bit of a loss as to what devotion tree I should take or spend points in. Any advice would be very helpful.

Btw, I saw that you had an occultist that you mentioned in the OP. So here is something that might interest you.

It is a pet build, so don’t know if you are into that. But it works pretty well.

There is also a solo shaman one which also focuses on pets -

Get rid of Searing Strike (1 handed melee weapons only).

Get BWC and take the defensive path devotions because demo is actually the weakest when it comes to defense. You will need CC effects in late game Ultimate and a tonne of better gear which is why you take concussive bomb but I’m unsure what components you’ve found. I use Ancient Armor Plates on legs on pretty much every build. You can get easy poison/bleeding resists from devil’s crossing faction vendor (slith venom).

Very Interested, thank you both! That’s awesome!

 very curious, thanxs for share
