I have been playing this game for a little while now, and I want to start a hardcore character. I want to be a ranged character, since I have been playing melee on my other character. The goal is to reach lvl 85. So, I wonder:
What class has most survivability? I have been thinking of playing a Pyromancer, but I am afraid he will be too squishy.
Should I start on Veteran or Normal?
What ranged class would you pick if you wanted to get to lvl 85 in hardcore mode?

You can start on either normal or veteran, it doesn’t matter gameplay-wise, but if you’re not a pussy you should always start on veteran 
Anyway, play pyromancer, it doesn’t really matter. Gun Sorcerer is probably safer, and Primal Strike conjurer is even more safe, but that’s my guess. Actually most of the time it’s gear and how careful you are rather than class choice.
If I wanted a ranged character and I didn’t had any items I would’ve probably picked pyromancer. Because he’s stylish :3
