I’ve probably collected thousands of Ugdenbloom since AOM came out, always destroying every single plant enemy along the way and always killing Sylvarria. And yet, there are some ring affixes I only know about from Grimtools because of their excessive rareness. Mind you, I’m kind of a hoarder and basically collect every single thing with a rare affix, particularly MI rings as I’m always using those whenever possible. A few of these seem to drop more often at low levels, strangely enough. The offending affixes are:
Of Albrecht’s Focus
I’ve never seen this drop in my life.
Of Incineration
GDIA shows I have 2 of these at level 55 and 50 each, acquired from multiple leveling sessions.
Of Oleron’s Wrath
Got only two of these. Not sure if they have an increased drop rate from Gargabol after the MI update.
Of the Basilisk
Zero, except for 2 lvl 60 leveling rings. A favorite among builds that use double-rare rings.
Of the Diviner
Got two of these, one lvl 67 random ring and one lvl 94 Living Ring.
Of the Glacier: 1 Creeping Ring and 1 Cronley’s Signet
There’s a couple other affixes like “Of the Hurricane”, “Of Anomalies” and “Of Solael’s Malice” that I’ve actually gotten a decent amount of rings, 3-4 each. I suspect these are also extremely rare but I’ve gotten lucky.
Well, I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing for something to be super-rare. I don’t think I’ll ever get a Kaisan amulet with +3 to Nether Edge, and that’s fine. But… the fact that I only have low level versions for some of these makes me really suspicious. Besides, Steam shows I’ve played the game for 1500 hours, 1k+ since AOM came out. That I’ve never gotten some of these is some of the crappiest RNG I’ve ever experienced. I distinctly remember telling myself “wth is this” when I saw a “of Incineration” affix drop during my leveling sessions. If they’re not bugged I do think it’s kind of excessive, and their drop-rate should be increased.
