Got the quest something for nothing when I started ultimate but this time I was supposed to kill named mobs and not soldiers. I have been running around wightmire for an hour now and have not a single soul of these guys. Where are: Farros, the rotted
Jillius, the decayed
Neegan, the withered
Have I missed something? 
there is 1 in wightmire 1 in the foggy bank and the last one in burrwicth outskirts af i recal cant truly rember about the last one tho

Well - back to the hunt!
Found Farros, the rotted (around milton hart spawn) and Jillius, the decayed. Have anybody seen Neegan, the withered? Spent whole night looking for that old sack of bones!

Maybe, but it was also an incredibly boring quest that felt like it was ripped from an MMO’s tutorial.
yes it’s a good change overall but i have to say that for me who played the game a lot in EA hunting heroes in early game areas isn’t that fun. for a new player it’s definitively better though
Farros, the rotted was a pain for me. I ended up finding him in The Old Dump in a house. Hope this helps.
The three for the first quest are all in areas where aetherials spawn, not randomly in between the mosquitos and such. First is somewhere in the old dump, second in wightmire proper and the last is in foggy bank, the little areas where there are some chtonians.
Second quest both targets are together on the west side of moldering fields near the shore.
First one is in the middle of the Old Dump in a house.
Second one is in the bottom right part of Sodden Hollow in a camp where you get the Conjuring Bone off a dead guy.
Third one is in the top right part of Sodden Hollow right before you get to Foggy Bank. He’s kind of off in a little part of the path that splinters to the right.
For the second leg, as soon as you hit Moldering Fields go as far left as you can and then go north slightly, they’re both in a field there.
thanks for this, was looking for the last guy for ages. Killed the other 2 in normal wandering but missed the last one. The 2nd one in your list is Neegan the Withered. Farros is in the house in the old dump.

It honestly doesn’t take that long to search the entire area and if you don’t want to clear the map, it doesn’t take long to just search the areas where Aetherials spawn. People are blowing this out of proportion or the people complaining are the ones who just rush through without exploring.
