I don’t make too many builds these days but one thing i had my eye on for a while, as a melee fan, was blue sword Soulthief with innate WPS.
I’ve made a build and had several runs with it when i noticed low dmg output from weapons. Turned out the sword WPS hits with 1 hand only. And animation is not exactly fast either.
It was very disappointing. The weapon has poor stats aside of WPS but WPS, as it happens, is also very poor. What’s even the point of this weapon when you can spend 20 mins to farm basically any green 1H weapon of select dmg type, when you hit lvl 94, and it would be better?
Normally it wouldn’t be a surprise, the vast majority of blue weapons have zero redeeming qualities. But Soulthief received two balance passed, the devs spent time on it so it was meant to be used… at least by someone?
Please, make it hit with both hands. It won’t make the weapon stronger than MIs and legendaries. But it will make it usable at least, enabling DW for some platforms with no access to 1H WPS.
