Sound balance is bad, may you look at it again?

As the title states, the sound balance in this game is bad, especially in combat.

Many spells and abilities are barely audible. Take the Inquisitors Rune of Kalastor for example.
It’s sound effect is so quiet, despite it being a massive explosion.
Heck, even a standard gunshot is louder.

Then there is the Arcanists devastation spell. Now that one has oomph!
Why can’t all abilities/spells have some meat to them?
I am not saying they should blow your eardrums out, and leave you with a painful tinitus, but there should be atleast some audio feedback for some of those abilities.

With the upcoming release of Forgotten Gods, i’d really like them to take another look at some of the volume values.
Heck, i’d even recommend giving us additional volume bars for different things, including Footsteps, Spell Effects, Damage over Time effects, UI sounds & more.

Also, not as important, but why does the forcewave attack have such a weird squeaky noise at the end? That one is especially bad when you have a fast attack speed, and spam it. It’s like a dog playing with his toy next to you as you smash monsters.

Devastation is too loud. It’s uncomfortable to such level that I think to avoid this spell just because of sound.

I’d like some music in caves. The weird silence in caves is the reason I turn the music off completely in this game.

Same, I just turn on the OSA or similar. Having no music in caves is … stupid

I agree with this. At the moment i even consider learning how to mod in the game in order to change some sounds (i dont even know if its possible but imma still try). I would love to see some changes to the sound and adding “meat to it” is a rly good way to put it.

Like i said, the sound balance is bad, as in the volume difference between sound effects is too big.

If devastation is too loud, then it should be quieter alongside some of the other sounds and we’d have the same outcome.

One could say having to lower the volume, so you can’t heard the quieter sounds anymore, because certain abilities are far louder is the real problem here.

I agree, I would greatly appreciate another look at the sound balance. There are many skills that are far too quiet for their effect. Sound is really important for immersion. Doom Bolt, for example, is a really powerful spell, but sound-wise it is very underwhelming. I would also like to see more sliders in the audio options menu, especially one for UI noises.
