How about not installing them? Remove all MoBo software for a test. Soundcard should still play with Windows drivers.
Also tried that yesterday.
Windows auto-updated the Drivers, and Realtek Audio Console came back with it.
Windows 11 auto installs these drivers from the MS Store automatically after restart. I tried this already. I did notice that the directional issue isn’t present when you disable audio enhancements in Windows sound settings, but then you lose the equaliser.
Holy shit disabling the Audio Enhancements in the “More Audio Settings” area of Windows 11 fixed it for me!
Just tried the game out and audio is working as it should now.
As someone who doesn’t use the equalizer, for me not being able to use it isn’t much of an issue.
Thank you so much for the suggestion my friend! I hope you can find a fix for it that allows you to also use the equaliser!
can’t you disable audio enghancements direct in realtek? @Emperorsfist
or perhaps in windows settings purely for GD?
You can install Logitech’s software and use the equaliser there. Or in sound card’s control panel. But definitely not the one from M$.
Saved my ass there Just had to upgrade most of my system (Steam was holding my games for ransom if I stayed on Win7) and suddenly this shit popped up. Turning off Audio Enhancements cut the sound off completely when I did it midgame but relaunching fixed the directionality issue for me as well.
