In my opinion Grim dawn is the best Arpg since D2:LoD. My most favourite char in D2 lod was amazon and jawelin/spears combined with shield looks amazing and its only playstyle I miss in most Arpgs since D2(Titan quest had some spears, but lack of skills for them).
Will be possible to bring those weapons in to Grim dawn?
I doubt it. They simply don’t fit the devs’ vision of the game.
We need whips! Whips and codpieces!
I am going to be trying to put spears (as well as staves) into my mod (Grim Quest) and perhaps release a standalone version as well. Maybe keep an eye out for that if you don’t mind playing mods.

i Played TQ and IT for far more than 1000h (school … couldn´t do that now that i´m working) and i played a lot spear chars. i Didn´t sense any missing skills, (i dont know the english names) Jagd (hunting?) and Gaunerei(?) for example had very good working skills for spears.

in TQ spears were the possibility to combine armor piercing with meele weapons and a slow basic attack speed (wich makes the damage per hit even higher what can be used to push the damage of skills that inflict a percentage of a normal weapon hit). in GD there are 2Handed weapons being slow and 2Handed Swords also have some armor piercing. Just like the Nightshade’s Reach i found recently. This is in my opinion better balanced then spears, because spears could do some extreme damage while having a shield in the offhand and being defensive enough to tank some of the really hard bosses (undead Dragon, ect). 2Handed weapons can do a lot of damage even while having some defensive possibilities (see Warder) but they dont feel that overpowered as some of the old spear builds did.
