In the Grim Misadventure #187, it was spoiled that a new item would be added that causes all summoned skeletons to be archers. This is super cool, and it got me thinking that maybe the same logic could be applied to the existing item Mythical Guardian of Death’s Gates. However, instead of archers, it would be really neat if they would only summon melee skeletons (ideally the really tough dread knight guys, but even just warriors would be good enough).
I think it’d work well with the Necro+Soldier melee style the item is made for and would make the item way more thematic and fun.
Not sure but even those guys might be a nerf — seems like the ranged skeletons are the best - whether crossbows or fire balls. Melee skellies at least later in the game seem like squish city unless the player has maxed all pet resistances.
I would also love to have melee skeletons only. There are 4 types within the raise skeletons node.
Variations:
Crossbow
Mage
Melee
Melee (Bigger ones)
So they basically have to come up with a passive node to determine what type you may and may not summon or have a similar item like Wight Channeler. Would of been good to have this options though, for example, if i play a range build i don’t want range/mage skeletons with me, but rather melee.
Also:
Imagine we have these melee skeletons, they look much better visually than those sword and shield ones, please update the current melee skeletons models Crate!
