I don’t know what I am doing wrong, but I don’t seem to be able to get more than a handful of tools and weapons each year. I have it set at 1,1,1 ratio for weapons, light tools and heavy tools, but it’s only made 4 light tools, 3 weapons, and 0 heavy tools in the past year. I have two coal mines and two iron mines, and seem to have enough iron ingots with two foundries but not enough coal. Can’t make more coal mines until I am level 4 and can do infinite coal mines, though, as there are no more regular coal mines I can find within a reasonable distance from my town (tons of iron mines and a fair amount of gold, though).
Anyone else find the rate at which you can make weapons incredibly slow? I rolled and rerolled and this was the best starting set up I could get for resource nodes near my starting town. The traders almost never have coal to sell, even with an upgraded trading post.
Well i tryed seperate blacksmiths and armorers for each production. If i do that 1-2 of my workers are making armor or weapon and the others are idle. And i produce only 2 platemail armor per year(have plenty of matherials for production). There were cases where i didnt produce any for the year…Every other production building can increase production with more workers. In the case of blacksmiths and armorers it doesnt work at all.
Is it possibly because the needed material isn’t being delivered to the forge in a timely manner? Or if the workers have to go too far to fetch ingots etc. they won’t have much time to make anything. I haven’t figured out if there is a way to get particular stock yards to prioritize specific materials. I try to have the smelters, blacksmiths, forges etc. together near the mines with a stockyard right there, but it seems that the material isn’t always placed in that stockyard.
Stockyards do ore, warehouses do ingots. Mine-stockyard-forge-warehouse-blacksmith. I’ve toyed with putting all of them together in the same location but it’s not as good as keeping all but the mine in a central location in town.
