Hi all,
I want to comment on Gargaban in SR. I like to dig SR deep (40+), but Gargaban feels off and an insta exit. It’s supposed to be tough and I love the challenge, but with Gargaban it’s straight out frustrating. Not only you have to keep him on his first phase when challenging other bosses, but on his 2nd phase, he is way OP and nearly impossible to kill making you have to quit and restart which is just annoying and waste of time. His damage should be more or less aligned with other bosses, and despite the mechanic is OK, the damage is excessive. I understand SR40+ is supposed to be very hard, but it shouldn’t be like phishing Gargaban/exit, or continue.
Deep SR is gimick fight , you have to trade all the firepower for sustain which in my personal opinion is pointless cause apart from some crazy pet builds most builds hit a wall at 44 ( I mean is not big accomplishment when you know where it ends ). According to Gargaban I have to disagree ,his mechanics are brutal especially when scaling after 36 is brutal ( for reference scaling up to 31 is completely different than scaling from 31 + )

I find Iron Maiden or Fabius more excessive than Gargaban in higher SR. With Gargaban there is a nice flow to the fight and if you learn it, it can be done fine if you leave him as the last. But he is of course dangerous.

What I find weird about Gargabol/Gargaban, is that his plants fire a “meteor” that has a oddly high physical damage component.
The plants have roughly the same flat physical damage output as the Iron maiden, but they all fire at the same time and when they all hit you, your character gets nuked.
Everything else about the fight is well telegraphed.

Yes that’s indeed the case I realize I didn’t highlight enough, the ‘shotgun’ effect of the plants. Garga’s move set can be mastered without too much difficulties but the plants make the fight very nasty. Moosi/Zantarin have their pets also providing quite some damage, but their ranges are way slower making it easier towards Garga
