Steam Cloud Saving - has it improved? It is worth it?

I have a PC and a laptop at home, hoping to seamlessly play my characters on both.

Is Steam Cloud Saving going to be more trouble than it’s worth?

I wasnt using it until recently. I had to travel, so I brought my laptop. Before leaving, I googled how to make cloud saving work.

  1. Back up your saves.
  2. Enable cloud saving in the GD options menu and the steam “Properties” menu for the game.
  3. “Upload/Sync to cloud” whatever option in the GD menu.
  4. Go online with laptop, start GD, make sure you had same things set up from step 2.
  5. Import chars (if it doesnt automatically do it).
  6. ???
  7. Profit.

Alternatively…Just put GD local saves on a thumb drive.
