I almost gave up on PC gaming from the couch but thank you, Crate, for the excellent steam controller config. Probably the best use of the controller I have tested so far. Marvel heroes 16 is pretty good as well but grim dawn takes the cake. Sitting on my reclining couch with my dog staring at the 55 tv is perfect.
I got my xbox wireless 360 controller working with GD not very long ago at all (last night) and I’m very impressed at how it’s been done. It’s not the usual “move the cursor with the right stick instead of the mouse and call it a gamepad setup”
It is so fluid and fast it’s stunning, within a few mins I was clearing mobs through lower crossing with a level 3 char as fast if not faster than with a mouse… and that’s not something I never thought I would say with playing an argp, with a gamepad and no mouse :D:D:D
I’ve been using the Steam controller for a couple days now. Love it and it works great in GD. My only complaint would be the XYAB buttons are a bit small but after a while you get used to it and it aint so bad.
Hopefully on later versions of the controller they could rectify this somewhat but all in all this controller is great for in and out of game on PC. I wouldn’t use it for anything complex like file sorting etc but if you just want to casually browse and read without being all up on your monitor it is very nice in that area.
When playing with the 360 controller is it similar to playing Marvel Heroes 2016 or Diablo 3 on consoles with a controller?
If so, I will buy this today. I heard great things about GD. I work on a computer all day, so I would rather kick back and play with a controller when I can.
I haven’t played either of those with a controller so I can’t say but I did post a guide for it for GD that should ease the way. The controls take a moment to get used to but once you know it’s simple enough.
