Still having trouble with FPS

sure but that is not what we are talking about. (the recent posts.
posts from 2+ months it was more about what you are referring to)

We are talking about

getting 40,s with 400 population at qhd but after about an hour it drops to single figures. i restart the game and its great for another hr or 2 Weird

a slow down after extended play. That issue is what I said earlier.

Your computer specs are good, and your hardware should handle city-building games well. However, if you’re experiencing a drop in FPS after 300+ population, here’s a quick checklist:

  1. Graphics Settings: Lower in-game graphics settings for better performance.
  2. Drivers: Ensure your graphics drivers are up-to-date (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080).
  3. Background Apps: Close resource-intensive apps while gaming.
  4. Cooling: Ensure your PC stays cool to prevent throttling.
  5. RAM: Monitor RAM usage; ensure the game isn’t using virtual memory.
  6. Game Updates: Check for game updates/patches.
  7. Refresh Rate: Set your monitor to 60Hz for a smoother experience.
  8. Overclocking: Consider overclocking cautiously for performance gains.
  9. Background Tasks: Ensure Windows isn’t running updates in the background.
  10. Game-specific Tweaks: Look for game-specific performance tips online.

If issues persist, monitor your system’s performance for bottlenecks using tools like MSI Afterburner or HWMonitor. Check game forums for specific solutions.

I found Out that the game runs smoother with 100% depth of field (hopefully it’s the right Word in english).
