Many underrated celestial procs have received big changes during the past few updates such as Raise the Dead and Arcane Barrier. Others such as Elemental Seeker or Light of Empyrion have received tweaks or minor changes/additions but one T3 devotion proc has remained the same and forgotten - Stone Form.
I think it’s worth discussing ways to change Stone Form as currently, i literally don’t think anyone uses it. Hell, i bet there are people who forgot what Stone Form is or what it does.
Some things i’de consider are:
[ul]
[li]Replacing the pierce resistance and possibly the armour absorption for something else. Most builds want to have these maxed passively rather than rely on a proc for them. Physical resistance would be a good replacement.[/li]
Edit: A bit of max % pierce resistance wouldn’t be bad here either and keeps a similar idea as the original % pierce resistance.
[*]Give it Internal Trauma Retaliation damage and something non-Retaliation related for Internal Trauma itself - % damage, flat damage or % duration. I’de lean towards % duration out of those.[/ul]
op1: always switch to a passive skill to exercise it. Even a current effect will become useful if so.
op2: change the whole skill.
It may be interesting even if I do it in a skill to let a body of oneself become a stone, block all damage at constant time.
It’s a devotion proc so i don’t think it can be made a passive. The closest thing you could do is up the proc chance to 100% so it’s up almost all of the time, similar to Hungering Void.
Yeah you’re not wrong. There’s the option that the armour absorption and pierce resistance are distributed to some of the constellation’s nodes, not the full 50% or 20% though.
Edit: Though in hindsight, doing the above means there is less of an incentive to take Stone Form and just take the nodes for the absorption/resistance.
There is so much damage absorption everywhere and physical resistance is easy to get for a shield build. Why not put flat armor there? Since one of the nodes with flat armor had beed neutered it can be brought back as a proc.
the proc chance MUST be buffed. Even the healing rain is 25%… ON HIT. So, unless you are running a 95-100 block chance build (wich you should), the healing rain has most of the time about 3 or 4 times more chances of triggering than stone form. Dont forget is ALSO limited by your block recovery…
Also, remove the pierce resistance, and redistribute the armor+absortion buff in the constellation (the other final star can use some love), and put in some phys res. The problem for builds that can actually use this constellation aren’t physical attacks themselves, but internal trauma, wich can get out of control, specially against reflective monsters, given how restricted the defense against it is.
