I am new to the game. I would like to play a melee char.
I am afraid to go wrong with builds etc.
I already started the game over like 10 times and I havent passed lvl 40 with any char.
I really want to push the endgame with one char. But I want to know which class combination makes the strongest melee character?
No melee mage or melee pistol though. That is against my culture lol
Hmm, strongest single target damage belongs to DG Witch Hunter, TD SS Spellbreaker and Korba Trickster
Problem is all three are highly gear dependent

It uses the Soldier mastery and therefore is easy to gear. It’ll help you farm for item easily
Is there any with a shielded? 
Dont prefer to dual wield actually
I am playing a Apostate at the moment. I thought why not combine the 2 new classes
Apostate has the least gear support at the moment.

That guide contains links to two shield builds. Both are good for starter builds that can farm the end game.
EDIT:
Mine is a beginner friendly melee build meant for end game farming. It’s not the strongest S&B char.

There are allot of builds in the class and builds subforum. And “strongest” is a wide word,strongest single target,strongest as being nearly invincible etc. You will find plenty of “strongest” builds here,just get the one that fills your criteria.
Could you link builds/threads for these? I assume the Korba Trickster is this?
But what is DG? and TD? SS I guess is Shadow Strike? Feel a bit lost still reading some of these posts :o

Aha, thanks. I didn’t consider devotions, was looking at item sets thinking it might be a short-hand for some of those. :o
