I follow pet lazy Pokémon master build…but still low clearing speed, mobs are a few lvl above me…resulting in a lot of deaths.
where I should play to gather better gear (and exp a bit )before going on with questline?

Hello! since monsters level scale to your level you can farm the last boss run or the bastion of chaos (act IV) or The forsaken wastes
this website can help you out finding those zones i’m talking about :
i cant post link sicne i’m new (under 3 post) so google this : the map hack grim dawn and take the first one.
You should have an easy time running in the necropolis too, but one of the rifts would be good xp and maybe some loot.
Try to farm a wasp hive in Twin Falls. Skip trash and kill only heroes/bosses. Each hero/boss kill has a fair chance to drop legendary, and there is quite a lot of them. It isnt the best farming method, but it’s far, FAR less gear-dependant that better ones.
You can also farm Darius Cronley, if you can do that…
I wonder why there isn t something like d3 adventure mode/rift (not that unrewarding crucible) just for exp/looting instead of 3playthrough. old, old gameplay
Because D3 adventure mode/rifts would be boring as hell if they didn’t change the meta every couple of months.
The best solution is start a new char to explore a different build.
I suppose you have still alot to do if you are 51 at Elite. Usually after full Veteran playthrough i got something like 55-60 to the start of Elite without repeating content.
If you like D3 rifting - you can do same in GD as well, just craft a Skeleton Key (see it as a GR Key) and go to Steps of Torment/Bastion of Chaos/Port Valbury. It’s the same idea (though you have no time limit) but you have predetermined map so don’t have to go into dead ends and already know where are located most notable elites including Rift Boss, you can even skip trash and go directly to him if you don’t like to kill them all. At Vet difficulty you can get 2-3 lvls and bunch of new items for full run of any of these dungeons considering you are 51.
Bounty Tables are analog of Bounties in D3 as well. Do the quest, recieve some mats and exp (+Reputation).
And yeah, unlike D3 you don’t have to rush your exp to max level and begin playing only after you achieve it. So you better not skip the sidequests (and some secret places/quests as well) if you don’t want to lack exp/items/devotions/other rewards.
p.s. crucible useful for starting new character and having 5-10 bonus devotion points before starting main campaign.
new meta or not, 3walkthroughs is same thing…grind.
after maxed out a char, it’s obvious ti reroll a new class…it happens the same if maxed with 3ng+ or a ng and a number of exp runs. in the end, it’s the same.
but not everybody likes more to repeat the story instead of pure, stopless dungeon crunching.
just give us choice on how to level up.
look at torchlight2. mapworks, new ng…or both.
so should I do some act 4 runs in veteran till 60?
Some info on your gear and devotions might allow us to give some pointers as well. I generally move to elite at 50 - if you have just an ok setup and know how to manage aggro you should be wrecking things on early elite.
devotions and build are copy paste from this forum. “lazy pokemon master” or somethin alike. gear is awful…in fact I asked for a proper place to grind mobs to find something suitable
Gear drops everywhere. Very few pieces of gear are location locked. As a pet build, the only MIs I know of to suggest you farm for are Bysmiel pants, from the Bysmiel portion of the Hidden Path, and some of the Bloodsworn items have pet affixes. You might also consider farming Order rep to get Faction gear.
Told ya - Steps of Torment (till 50), Bastion of Chaos (50-55), Port Valbury (55-60 easy). What else do you need? Teleport to these places right from a town? It already take about 1 min with fights to reach entrance and 1 more min to reach locked area.
Pseudo-random map (patterns of which in fact are the same)? Go play D3 then.
I started a new toon in HC (first Char) after a ~10 months break and playing pet build as well, same as you i finished veteran with <50 (47 i guess), after that i only took the first shrine in elite and then switched back to veteran, farmed Black legion reputation (Rings, Mark @lvl55) to honored and after that farmed the first Level of Bastion of Chaos for the Treasure Trove and the Elite/Boss monsters (~25 runs), this way i got 7+ lvl in under 3 hours (BoC), many Drops and Components, iron bits and can now start with fresh lvl 59 in elite a bit overleveled but soon “in line” with level progression.
As for gear: Get Gear from the Factions; Rovers, Black Legion and Order of Death Vigil have really nice items for you.
I would recommend doing Steps of Torment or Bastion of Chaos on Veteran Difficulty until you level up more or find new gear. That is my go-to way to level when I’m stuck.
