Stuff mentioned in the 29th August 2023 dev stream not mentioned elsewhere

Yeah, long title, but basically stuff Zantai mentioned in the stream that isn’t covered in either The New Thing or Fangs of Asterkarn threads.

New HUD layout. No potions any more, you effectively have infinite supply. W for health, E for mana. Can be on the HUD or a hot key. Middle button will be for baseline evasion ability. Will be available for everyone, but people who own Forgotten Gods will be able to upgrade the ability with runes from that expansion. So no longer on medals, but on the ability.

Cooldown timer option in Options menu. Will count down on the hot key.

Items - 30 to 60% less items dropping. To compensate higher quality of items.

Increased the iron bits which will drop from monsters and loot chests.

Not including Rainbow Filter in the game.

PS5 version - no ports to announce at this time.

Relics - been streamlined and will take less stuff to make them and logical progression.

Olexa’s Flash Freeze and Blade Trap - bosses wil now be susceptible very briefly to those skills.

Not including GI’s DPS meter

Patch will come to all platforms as usual - Steam, GOG and Xbox.

New achievements coming, some for Ascendant mode.

Loyalist Pack #3 - maybe in the future

Sundered - If a monster sunders you you’ll take additional damage. Replacing a lot of the current resistance reduction that monsters have. Multiple effect of sunder will not stack, the highest value will take effect. Have slowed down a lot of monsters’ animation speed.

Wendigos - had their speed reduced

SR - Shrines been redesigned and some can increase max move speed. Shorter duration, but make you more powerful for that duration. Shrine Achievement will also be redesigned, you just need to use them rather than have all at the same time. Might be other ways to get max speed as well.

Tonics of Clarity and Tonics of Reshaping can now be crafted at Celestial smiths.

Mutators have been redesigned too - now only positive effectsto monsters or players. Also changed how they roll so 3rd will have a positive and then the 5th will have a positive. Monster resistance buffs also gone.

1.1.9.8 will be permanently available on the beta branch if you don’t want to play newer versions of the game.

Maggot area - a way to do it without respecing auras/buffs being added to the game.

Sunder not being added to player

New game engine is more modular in design so should be better for modding/modders.

Exclusive skills - can only put points into one with v1.2

Pet buffs can’t be dispelled.

Not involved in any way with TQ2.

With the 3rd expansion we’ll be meeting the Kurn and learning about their history which features in the upcoming RTS game.

RTS will feature the Kurn, Erulan and Arkovia.

Potion customisation will be done at the Alchemist.

More lore with Mogdrogen considering his close ties with the Kurn.

New SR Waystone so you can go to Shard 90 with loot.

New scout at Fort Ikon to allow you to access FoA.

GM’s resuming in future for updates on the expansion.

2 shapeshifts for the Berserker mastery, but might also have other types on items, maybe relics.

Some skills will have charges - so evade could be evade then evade again before it goes on to cooldown.

Trying to do an automatic component and crafting stash tab which will take those things out of your inventory and into storage.

Tinctures - deciding what to do with those - might be intergrated into the potion customisation.

Post release of Fangs of Asterkarn there will be 2 new rogue-like dungeons. One might be more hot than cool.

New rewards that will only be available on Ascendant difficulty.

Upgrade T1 and T2 relics to T3 ones.

Not implementing a profile system.

Berserker skills focus on cold and bleed with some chaos due to the corruption.

Expect the overworld to be a bit bigger than FG, but atm it’s not finished yet.

Dreadblade one of the class combo names for Berserker mastery. (Later dropped as a class name)

Berserkers can melee, but also ranged - particularly good at dual wielding (melee, ranged, both?)

Can’t say what features in GD2 it’s way too early.

Berserker will have a new auto attack replacer.

Kymons and Order - going to double their rep and triple it for the Outcast.

Planning to let you see the crowd control for pets in the character sheet.

Will meet the character on Fangs of Asterkarn art ingame.

Mammoth might feature prominently in the RTS.

Playing in 4k - can go into Options and move the slider.

Localisations of languages now going to be done by Crate.

Voice overs will remain English only in the game.

Will be adding a new type of monster totem with the 3rd expansion.

Fangs of Asterkarn requires the Ashes of Malmouth and Forgotten Gods Expansions, and the base game

Chronologically, FoA would be taking place after Ashes of Malmouth.

Oh man, this is just to good! For me personally the only thing I needed for the game to be perfect was affix rerolling, as I was tired of farming for specific combinations, but look at all the thing We are getting! jeez.
