Sometimes Stun Jacks that directly hit an enemy don’t do anything, and give no combat text. This is not a case of it hitting and “missing”, but of the stun jack hitting an enemy and sparking with no combat text generated.
I don’t think it’s an issue of OA, I can stand in front of a zombie throwing an entire energy bars worth of jacks at him and doing no damage, meanwhile my OA says I have 100% chance to hit, something is definitely not right.
No, happens when standing right in front of an enemy and the jacks are clearly hitting them, or if I’m standing away from them and throwing them. It’s not terrain blocking them. You can see in the video that all shots are thrown from level terrain without obstructions.
can you replicate it on dummy or is it unique to live enemies?
*thinking it might be an issue related to the spam transmuter aoe decrease or dmg penalty
You can clearly see in the video that there’s a few to the left and a few to the right, but no jacks in the middle.
That’s how these things work, though at some point they did fix some of these fan skills. So I’d suggest to try it out again, might be it’s better now.
I reported something similar awhile ago, quick Jack’s used to have aoe scaling and with 1 point the projectile would never hit a target due to the penalty. Seems like even with the minor penalty it struggles. This was fixed though and should perform better now vs 1 year ago.
In my case you could slow down the gameplay and watch the projectiles make contact and still not hit, they even bounced off the hitbox
This sounds like it might be the issue, base stun jacks has aoe of 2 meters, quick jacks brings that down to 0.8 meters, and then full spread brings that up to 1.1 meters.
It might be a case of the jack hitting the enemies hit box and detonating, but the AoE is so low that sometimes it doesn’t reach the actual damage hit box depending on distance, full spread helps abit by adding 0.3 meters, but without it you are basically going to miss tons of shots. That’s what I think is happening anyways.
As Bas mentioned, this is happening to jacks that don’t hit center of target.
