Yeah so can confirm that Vitality DEE conduit only changed damage on the main skill and left all kind of unneeded poison/acid leftoevers on skill modifiers.
On topic, Demo conduits are a joke, really. Vitality Fire Strike is especially cruel one though. Because there are two vitality Fire Strike routes - double vitality melee weapons (like Damnations or Edges of Death or whatever) which is just infinitely weak becasue Defiler is one of the last classes you wanna go to as Necro to make melee vitality build. And there there is dual Gargabol spec, which might work moderately well with 3/4 of Blood Knight or Full Blood Knight. But then, if you have dual Gargabol, you have 100% fire to vitality or close to it global conversion already, so this modifier doesn’t make any sense really.
I have beef with the corruption of gargablah as well. Basically, most of my complaints about this game revolve around:
> Chaos damage
> Demos.
Don’t get me wrong though - crate did a magnificent job on GD, and I don’t praise it nearly as much as I should because I’m spoiled by them. It’s so easy to overlook how intricate a game they’ve made and to focus on what I perceive to be design oversights.
EDIT: Off the top of my head, some suggestions I have for improving the conduit skill modifiers -
> Drop the vindictive flame HP regen mod for a global 20% phys to fire conversion.
> Drop the measly 12 phys RR on flashbang for a -15% chaos RR, or 25 flat RR.
> Drop damage mod on grenado for a 10% increased chance for 100% CDR to ulzuin’s chosen.
> If stun jacks REALLY needs to be there, it should be 100% physical to aether conversion.
> Blastshield…lmao. It should be a flat reduction to CD and not a 12% armor increase. I can get 8% armor with a single bloodied crystal thankyouverymuch.
> Make it 100% lightning to vitality conversion on firestrike
> And I don’t really care about canister bomb.
Ehh, I kinda like it the way it is. Having SJ being physical/aether means it can reap the full benefits of Spectral Wrath, and the last thing Defiler needs is gearing options being taken away from it.
100% physical to aether SJ would be cool to have in general though. Allagast could be a good place for it, but then it might start resembling Light’s Defender a little too much…
That’s quite an interesting concept. But how would you circumvent the difficulty in getting healthy %bonus damage for both types?
I advocate lightning/aether because the widow constellation supports both.
EDIT: It’s also far easier to convert elemental/lightning to aether, than it is to convert physical to aether. This wouldn’t take it away from the defiler.
Krieg set maybe? Krieg’s Wrath also gives 20 RR which would certainly be useful.
No idea how well it would work though, and I don’t use GD Stash so I can’t really test anything that easily. :rolleyes: Admittedly, it doesn’t sound terribly powerful, but I suppose the 35 aether damage the Conduit gives to SJ could be upped a little if it turns out to be too weak…
Were you checking skill’s own tooltips? Well then, sorry to break it for you but all transmuters only change damage types on the main skill’s tooltip. The following nodes are unaffected. The same way Tainted Flame and Tainted Power “do not work” on Intensify and Disintegration. :rolleyes: That’s why always check the damage tooltip on the 2nd char page.
