[Suggestion] Changes to the Mythical Warborn Gavel

So, currently the Mythical Warborn Mace has this wierd + flat physical damage to War Cry. Let’s be honest - this skill modifier is pretty useless. It has been tested on a few Warborn builds of mine and the highest damage I’ve seen so far (I’ve tested it on the dummies that are immune to life reduction as far as I know) is ~15k on crit with Warborn procs and Deadly Momentum. I think it’s just better to stop trying to turn War Cry into some “damage skill” and leave it as a debuff only skill and remove the flat damage from the Warborn Mace (and possibly Krieg as well).

After a little discussion in our Russian GD Community Discord (and no, there are also non-crucible players there as well) we came up with an idea for the new skill modifier for the Mythical Warborn Gavel. Since Warborn is a Cadence - focused set, it always seemed strange to me that it doesn’t have any Cadence mods. Our idea is to add +1 more target and possibly some crit (8% for example) damage to Cadence. Cadence builds are known to have some AoE problems and this change will solve this.

I like this modifier. It’s not useless if you choose two Gavels.

double crap damage is still crap damage

Well, two Warborn Gavels isn’t the best choice imo, because maces have a very low AC bonus and that usually results in DPS loss on a DW Cadance build. And I don’t really see how having ~20k instead of 15k is a good skill modifier.
If the suggested change is implemented, wielding two Gavels will me a much more viable option.

I was hitting for 30k. I liked that to clear trash, as I had no wave clear.

I’ve never been a fan of small-ish amounts of physical damage on spells. Armor on mobs makes the first ~2k damage quite useless.

The only benefit to the bonus as it is right now is the ability to break environmental objects very quickly. That being said, you might as well consider the 4-piece proc as the real skill mod the gavel gives. Having %OA, big flat damage, and the warborn set bonus might just be too much value to include a good skill mod.
