[Suggestion] Class Restricted Items

No, they’re not. That’s why non-Arcanist builds struggle to get Spirit to equip endgame items that require Spirit. Same with Cunning and Nightblade. If the mastery bar rewards were very “similar”, then this wouldn’t happen.

Masteries are there so you make a choice on what you want your character to be or not to be and what to include.

Passives and Buffs/Auras like Inner Focus, Mogdrogen’s Pact, Pneumatic Burst etc. clearly define what masteries do and are gated by mastery points so that you have to travel further into a mastery to unlock them. Not sure what more you could want.

Yes it is, no build is failed due to investing( so sacrifice other stat) 100-200 in x stat to equip rings/armor? 100-200 stats is not a game changer/breaker meaning easy to compensate… Thus not a good point.

An extra 200 points in Physique (basically 100 DA) can literally be the deal breaker between getting critted by Nemeses or not. So no, they are not very similar.

And like Evil Baka said, masteries exist to restrict the amount of skills one character can have at all times. Having all skills available to a single character would be a brutal nightmare to balance because the insane amount of combinations.

I am not suggesting to make available all skills to player(It is very bad idea i think). I said that because choosing mastery does not reward anything rather than making skills available . Availablity of skills are just plain illusion of reward because you have to go all in or none at all ( some exceptions of course).

The literal reward of picking a mastery is having access to its skills. Don’t know how in the world you don’t think that’s a reward.

Who said you have to receive a reward for picking a mastery? It’s a core decision you have to make to play the game properly, it’s not supposed to be a reward. So you want just a bunch of free stats? Picking a mastery literally gives you free stats and access to skills that give you free stats. What else you want?

Otherwise what is the point of labeling them as mastery; Just create a pool of all skills and tell player to build around it.

separating them into masteries is adding restrictions / limits so you cannot create a truly OP combination of skills by picking from skills spread across 4 masteries or so

nonsense, the fact that you get x skill points per level in itself is a restriction and without it you would basically ruin the entire game.

I am pretty sure you also think it is a good restriction that no one is allowed to simply shoot you and get away with it…
