Suggestion: Mind Control amulet

In GD mind controled enemies are vulnerable to friendly fire, so in 99% of all cases they will get killed much earlier before the mind control duration or the cd ends. I really like the concept of this skill so

I suggest to

  1. half the cd to 30 seconds and keep the 45 seconds of mind control or
  2. exchange cd and skill duration (60 sec effect, 45 sec cd) or
  3. make mind controled enemies behave like pets (no friendly fire, affected by auras) or
  4. remove cd entirely or
  5. (worst case) remove item+skill from the game, because of newbie-trap.

Personally I hope for 4) followed by 1). Would you like to discuss about it, Crate? :slight_smile:

Or possibly give them high % Damage Absorption if the idea is to keep them up for as long as possible (otherwise it’s merely a long stun with the eventual death of the target).

I’m torn. On one hand, I like MC skills, on the other, I hate how they work in GD. It’s better than it was, where MC creatures were untargetable making the MC affixes a serious pain to play with.

What I think should be done but probably won’t be done, is to make two types of MC. A “dominate” effect, where it is a full “pet” MC, where they can be affected by auras, can’t be killed by friendly fire. The other would be a lesser MC, like what exists now.
