I would like to suggest a feature for a better inventory management.
First of all I think the same search function like in the stash or trader menus would be a great addition for the inventory as well.
My second idea would be a toggleable button for the inventory (but it could be for stash and trader menus as well) that highlights items that fit your current item build. For example: Your current build focuses on +lightning damage, +electrocute damage and +elemental damage. So if you toggle the button all items with the mentioned damage types get highlighted in the inventory. This is just an example how this button could work.
This could help if your inventory is full of items and you need to decide which items you want to keep and which items you want to sell without the need to hover over every single item.
As a workaround you could
- Configure the loot filter to see only +lightning/electrocute/elemental items (one time action)
- Turn on the loot filter
- Throw everything to the ground
- Pick up all the stuff
- Manage your equipment
- Turn off the loot filter
- Pick up the rest of the stuff and sell
Have you tried using the loot filter btw?
Yes I actively use the loot filter, but I pick up all greens to sell. Otherwise I don’t know how to get enough iron.
So after a couple of fights my complete inventory is full of green items and I need to check every single item.
I tried another workaorund as you mentioned. I transfered all items to an empty stash page and used the search function. But both workarounds are very inconvenient. I think a search and/or highlight function for the inventory would be more comfortable.
I second this! I sometimes wish to have a search function in stash, especially in early game when I don’t set the loot filter to strict settings and frequently put components on new gear. It would be very helpful to search for specific stats and get components or gear highlighted.
This would help immensely, particularly for new players. Allow the search to cover item description as well.
When looking for which components to use with which items, it’s very time consuming to have to go through every component, read the description, work out which item it’s for and then work out which one is best for your build.
A search and highlight would make it so much easier to get a handle on the game.
