I need some suggestions about my first build. I want to farm in SR but i am stuck at level 25-30 since the bosses kill me mostly. I know i probably need better sets etc. but not lucky i guess so far. low resistance are ok after skill buffs.
aside from that
your HP is a tad low, nothing detrimental; if you had better sustain
your sustain seems low; because low attack speed
mixing that many casts in probably doesn’t help the sustain/“speed”
OA fine, DA fine
no comp in amulet
i’d personally max inquis seal and plant my feet, but if you’re kiting alot because casting totems etc trying to dot things up i can get if that doesn’t seem appealing
thanks for ur reply.
I do not use inq seal because i always need to kite from aoe spell summons from enemy boss/champ etc. Im just curios how ppl get 2700 ish DA on an vindicator lol. i forgot component probably.
*as an auto attacker, every time you move is a time not spent attacking your enemies, getting no sustain, dealing less dmg, making the fight last longer, taking more dmg overall/dmg you’re not “instantly” recovering from by your next attack
i can not facetank aetherfire grounds, tornedos etc i guess right? Seal does not protect me from those, so its mostly useless againts hard fights imo. i was hoping you (or anyone) to say my DA was low but the problem is mostly gears and maybe some devos.
i’m gonna go huh? - what does aether fire ground have to do with hard fights?
tornaoes depend what you mean, if you mean Calla; yes it does
if you mean the aetherfire ground type like on the way to Crate, then no; but again, what does that have to do with hard fight?
hard fights generally don’t come in areas with static unavoidable hp dmg…
i dunno maybe i am too much frustrated with aetherfire thing. i wlll give up from storm totem and give points to other attack skills. i have already tried seal but gonna give more chance for you
general tip would be, if you’re in an area with aetherfire/“static floor/trap dmg” it means you’re supposed to keep moving on.
There is no place where you intended to go, or fight, where there is constant or unavoidable aetherfire/trap floor dmg, there will always be a different path/ground/place you’re supposed to go or fight in/on.
*and ofc if there is no such free ground it simply means it’s a dead-end/“not supposed to be here”, like inside smuggler’s pass or fleshworks
Alternative build - Raka’Jax + Light’s Defender Vindicator - actually matches what you are going for but improves on that imo. Very safe because of all the health, health regen and kiting playstyle (only cooldown attacks). Vindicator, Level 100 (GD 1.2.1.2) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator I killed Crate with it and had no problems with taking 4 bosses at once in SR 75.
These two builds - mine and Gnuffi’s - are are two completely different playstyles (cooldown caster and autoattacker respectively) optimized while yours is somewhat stuck in between which is not a good thing for it.
Good point there. Thats the problem probably. Since most of the gear on me helps more on autoattacking i will redesign skills for it. If i can get the light’s defender set then i may switch to caster.
Can you tell me the exact coordinates for lights defenders set plz Who ever designs RNG in these kind of games should give more probablty for items that fits your character or die in hell!!
I think you just have to farm blueprints. Not sure if the best method now but I read in the past that doing some easy SR very quickly, i.e. SR 75 Normal or maybe X Elite was a good method.
Halakor amulet (random drop) is very important too of course. Medal is a faction one. Eastern pants you should transmute till you have max Phys res and good other rolls (max % OA too if possible).
I have the non mythical version of Halakor but i preferred aethorbolt for -10 lightning res from storm box (dunno if its the right choice )
I just remembered why i hated inq seal lol. I was trying to get lokars set and i did not learn that i have to kite from his skills at the begining. So the inq seal was doing nothing with fighting lokar. So i hated that skill so much in that period of getting lokarrs set. After some deaths i killed him just with storm box and running around lol
Another question in my mind , what is wrong with my components or augments beacuse i cant get over 90% armor absorbtion.
Only if an Ancient Armor is the only source of % armor and % absorption you have, because both of these values are additive with themselves. So it will give you less armor in practice
@Bas I used to compare Scaled Hide vs Armor Plating using only the effective armor calculation like the above but the problem is it doesn’t work for small hits.
Because if a hit is smaller than your armor value, only absorption matters - % Absorption x Damage is absorbed. Only if a damage value * absorption is high enough, Effective Armor is absorbed.
At least that’s what it seems like if you read the official guide. Which is the reason I always use Scale Hide now. Although I’m not 100% sure of this.
You’re trying to do 2 very different builds at once. Raka Jax is a caster weapon, so drop the savagery stuff. If you want a savagery build, you need to get Evoker of Elgoloth, drop the totems+box and pump the weapon pool skills.
