A Soldier-but-not-Warder set that actually leaves both hands free at full bonus (that isn’t a ring pair/jewelry set).
A Nightblade set that leaves one or both hands free at full bonus (again, that isn’t a ring pair/jewelry set).
More class-tailored sets in general that leave hands free at full bonus, honestly.
More legendary 2 handed swords and axes. In specific, more 2h axes that aren’t necessarily designed for Shamans, and more 2h swords that are designed for classes that are actually likely to use a 2h sword at all (like Soldier combos and Shaman-but-not-Trickster).
Some epic/legendary daggers that actually do straight-up Pierce damage (not physical, mind you, but pierce).
More Gloves with mandatory attack/cast speed bonus. Otherwise they are crap. Add some attack/casting speed to the existing ones without those bonuses.
More sets that don’t feature a freakin’ helmet. We have like 10 legendary gloves, but like 30 legendary helmets, with most of the non-set helmets being useless.
More interesting conversions, not just physical->something. This is a great build-enabling feature.
Cold+vitality proper set. I see this combo on items often enough, but it is very much useless atm.
personally i’d like the facts that sets force you to choose between get the full bonus or get the BiS for each slot independantly from sets considerations. GD’s doing great in that aspect imo.
yes, absolutely. not enough diversity at all in this category. i’d really like a sword focused on pierce/bleed at least.
wouldn’t that fill the role of swords ? i doubt about this one honestly.
Legendaries boots belong to no set, actually, but i agree that most of them aren’t very appalling (hence most of the builds go for Golemborn). for belts the new Aetherial rogue-like dungeon will introduce some very desirable MIs, so that might alleviate the problem.
I too would love to see more diversity in what slots are a part of sets. Would love to be able to use iskandra’s full set on my druid, but the off hand is basically useless for me so the 4 piece bonus is as high as I will ever go… Which sucks because the 5 piece bonus is awesome.
Maybe alleviate this by adding more items to the set, but not adding more set bonuses. That comes with its own cons, but I think it could be an interesting way to make some of these sets viable for more builds.
I might get a few weird looks but I wouldn’t object to a 2h melee weapon (likely a sword) that focuses on pierce damage. The closest thing we have now is probably Nightshade’s Reach or maybe a rare with a sinister prefix.
