Pyran’s Visage helmet grans “+2 summons to mortar trap” in v1.2, but does not increase the limit for summoned mortar traps.
3 mortar traps are placed per cast, but 2 of them are immediately destroyed due to summon limit.
It looks like summon limit for mortar trap was omitted by accident. Either way it makes mortar placement awkward and creates unnecessary clutter. Helmet should either have +2 summon limit to mortar trap, or only min(summons, summon limit) should be created per cast.
when you get 24pts in Mortar Trap it goes to 3 summon limit natively (without the use of additional items) Pyran helm then burst summons that
or if you use pyran helm in conjunction with other +summon limit items
afaik it’s not supposed to be a summon limit increase on its own, but a burst summon help once you get the summon limit increased normally otherwise ?
Didn’t know you get summon limit from the skill, but still - if you don’t have that limit, it still does not make sense that skill is summoning 3 traps and immediately breaking 2 of them.
what should it do then? grant you +2 summon limit? because that’s a huge balance change
it’s an item intended for burst summon, for a set build around mortar; assuming you have the skill maxed i’d suppose
if you don’t have that, it behaves exactly like you’re just spam recasting it; which destroys a summon anyway
unsure if devs can fix it to account for the eventuality one uses the helm without 24pts Mortar and thus only summon once
but atleast i don’t think it’s a good enough reason to grant 2 additional summons for free
