The drop rate thing on that helmet feels absurdly, “kill the same monster several hundred times and never see it” low. And it probably is very low, so poor RNG is extraordinarily frustrating, especially considering that the Outcast doesn’t really drop much else of interest.
So, idea: have it be a blueprint, maybe even with special component items that drop from only from high end bosses so it feels like a quest to build it, but without obnoxious 1% drop rates and whatnot.
Great items that require great effort should not be tied to extreme RNG.
if it became a bp, that would kinda ruin the whole MI idea of it. Titan quest MI’s were pretty tough to get, some were extremely hard and they were some of the most amazing items ever. Stone binders cuffs for example lol.
stone binder cuff if you knew where to farm they would eventually drop. You might have to farm 1 or 2 hours. In that category is prowler cuirass or sabertooth.
There were some harder MI items such as an infrequent armor set in egypt that only dropped certain rare monsters and these armors had +skills to them. And then there were the Betrachos Greaves of which I never ever found one and compare that to stone binders which I probably found over 50 of those on different characters.
