Tainted Flame / Damage increase order

I’m new to GD, I’ve started a Purifier and I have some questions.

On Inq tree I have Flames of Ignaffar + Tainted Flame, does it convert 100% of fire/lightning damage to chaos for all sources or just the Flames of Ignaffar skill line?

Secondly when I’m looking at increases to damage types, either from other skills (e.g. Flame Touched) or from Items or the Devotion tree, should I be increasing Fire or Chaos?

Just converts within the Flames of Ignaffar skill, but you’ll notice that skill also includes % Weapon Damage, so some of your weapon could potentially also be converted. (like large +flat fire or lightning)

Once you have converted to Chaos for Flames of Ignaffar, to further increase its damage you would look for +% Chaos sources to scale it directly.
