Tanky Cold Reaper idea for crucible 170

So I’ve been brainstorming a crucible 170 viable Cold Reaper. Note this is purely concept at this point as I’m leveling multiple characters.

Highlights:

Defense:

Almost 3.5k armor with 99% absorb
3.2k DA before OA shred
Excellent 3rd page resists
14% physical resistance
30% dodge chance
33% deflect chance
Decay mechanics -25% damage
Ill omen -25% physical target damage (do these stack?)
Life leech sustained 8% + Reaping Strike
Fumble mechanics
13k life in campaign.
Blade Barrier and Mark of Torment for any “O shit” moments

Offense:

-97% cold resist with additional 32 RR from elemental storm
23k Auto-Attack 2 handed with 3 attacks per second
2 Nukes for burst damage and trash-clearance. (Ring of Steel and Bone Harvest)

Can also get panther and Crane to get Ishtak for extra safety. Instead of wraith/lion and Bard’s harp. Although I forsee serious energy issues with this route due to the auras involved. Also 2900 OA that way.

Cons:

-Alkamo’s Rings are required. I have them but they are hard to get. 50+ SoT runs required.

-Stonehides of attack are also not common but at least not double green prefix/affix

  • Energy will probably still be an issue even with going with the bards harp
  • Resistances less overcapped than I’d like

Any feedback greatly appreaciated

Love the innovation here. Few comments though:
i. The reaper is classically tanky because of MoT + BB chaining. As such, CDR is by far the most important stat you can hope to stack. It singlehandedly increases DPS and survivability (i.e. moar BH, moar SS, moar ABB, moar chaining)

ii. Due to the inherent low phys res of the class, it cannot hope to tank as well as most other classes (e.g. tactician).

iii. GD is a game where defence and offense constantly needs to be balanced, with some specs leaning more towards one side of this spectrum. The reaper is typically played as a balls-2-wall DPS’er.

What I’ll do is leave 3 links:
i. What I believe to be an unpolished DPS reaper:

ii. A super tanky breaker variant I had created (it was my first build post!):

iii. My final polished version of the aforementioned breaker:

Happy crafting.

Nice ones thank you. Based on your other guides (with casual items not sick greens) with videos I’m inclined to test your builds

I’ve played more Arcanist + X than is healthy back in the day, I want to branch out into the darker classes and Reaper just sounds cooler than Spell Breaker

Forgot to mention: Damage reduction stacks the same way as RR. At least I think they do. The phrasing would suggest so.

Since there are no -X% damage reduction that I can think of, AFAIK, damage reduction does NOT stack.

For more damage, do consider blizzard. I think it’s one of the offensive best celestial powers the game has to offer.

% physical damage reduction (Ill Omen) and % damage reduction (Ravenous Earth) stack multiplicatively since they are different types of damage reduction.

They don’t stack at all.

LOL bro.

They don’t stack? Hm. I received a wrong info

Didn’t this I write 2 days ago?? Or I’m no longer game mechanics authority for you??

I didn’t see that  No doubts, you have the best info.
Btw, I had a surgery few days ago and I visit forum once a day, so I can’t see everything happening here

Even this thread??

Didn’t see that thread

Ok then :stuck_out_tongue:

Shit man. Everything ok?

Nothing serious, but it cut me off for 2 weeks I think. No Grim Dawn :frowning:
