According to the villager profession screen a teacher needs basic education, which they get… by going to school. Which they can’t because there’s no teacher…
Yes I have unemployed villagers available.
Immigrants do randomly come with a basic education. That is the current method for filling this position.
We intend on adding a mechanic in the future to request an educated visitor to get your School started.

You probably have 2-3 % of educated people, unassign every worker then assign the teacher first.

Yeah, I just hit this, all of my educated workers were already assigned another job, I found a nice little old lady to assign as school teacher, The other person I found was the nightsoil man, didn’t think I’d get any students if he took over.

I just had this problem aswell with the healer hut. I saw there is a 6% of educated people so I had to manually click on every house and look for an educated person. I found one lady in a saw pit but she was assigned in the first spot. So I had to undeploy everyone with the “-” sign, employ her in healer hut and then reemploy those guys to saw pit.
Whole exercise seems a bit tedious.
