I sometimes feel like I felt when I first played Zelda on my NES back in '88
I sometimes feel like I felt when I played BG1 on my mom’s computer back in '98
And then it is all rolled into an amazing ARPG that scratches the itch a major recent release did not.
I am almost happy D4 did not deliver, so I found myself searching for a new ARPG and stumbled upon this gem - I am almost embarrassed about never having heard of it. The game feels great, exploring is fun and so far the game play is intense and relaxed at the same time (who ever came up with bosses not resetting on player death!? That is more fun than I thought it would be on paper).
I just finished Malmouth and started again on Elite and I find myself constantly wanting to fire up my PC to play ‘just a little bit more’.
Now I know I am preaching to the choir here, but I wanted to say this anyway.
Thank you for the game, but also for allowing mods, for allowing cheats (I doubt I will use them, but still) and for truly allowing people to play the game the way they want to play. It is a rare gift in games like these.
- A happy player
