First of all I love the game as I never loved an ARPG before. That being said, the game suffers in some cases of rather awkwardly created mythicals and sets.
Right now I’m playing a pet-ritualist and I’m amazed about all the little synergies between the two classes. Not so much, by the weird item support the class gets. Let’s start with the sets.
There are two well-designed and strong pet-sets, “Shepherd of Lost Souls” for the Cabalist and “Nature’s Call Regalia” for the Conjurer. The Ritualist gets the really well designed “Corrupter of Souls”, which unfortunately is rather weak.
It’s not that Pet-Ritualists doesn’t get any legendary item support, but just look at them.
Mythical Spiritbinder Glyph: Good buffs for pets, really good proc but the player gets +Aether-, +Elemental Damage and +. Why would I ever want that? The synergie between the two classes lies in Vitality Damage. This is especially true for a Pet-Ritualist. Pet-synergetic skills like Bone Harvest/Soul Harvest, Devouring Swarm, Wendigo Totem/Blood Pact, Ravenous Earth/Decay and Reap Spirit have all one damage type in common and its most definitely not Aether- or Elemental Damage.
Mythical Circlet of the Great Snake: Poison-Pet are doing fairly well, unfortunately they are all Cabalists… The Shaman has no means to reduce poison resistance or to buff poison damage. The occultist has all this tools, Curse of Frailty/Vulnerability and Blood of Dreeg.
Mythical Fiendflesh Greaves: Good Skill boni, but lack of resistances and mediocre petboni.
Mythical Necrolords Gaze Mythical and Mythical Bonescavenger’s Deathgrips are both amazing.
And thats it. All the other items that are amazing for a pet-ritualist are actually pet-cabalist items. Guardian of Death’s Gate, Mythical Shadowfiends Cord, Bysmiel’s Domination, Mythical Necrolords Shroud, Sheppard of the Lost Souls, etc.
So please consider this for the coming expansion. I really like the direction you went with “Corrupter of Souls”, and I hope there will be a cool new legendary set for the ritualist that goes into this direction.
