"The big one" doesn't start at the beginning.

The tooltip says:
“which will fire at the beginning of the trap’s barrage”
However it fires at the 5th or 6th shot.
Is it a bug or it’s intended?.
Would love to use it as the tooltip says, otherwise its a waste of skill.

It fires at the 3rd second of its 18 second lifespan, which I agree would not be considered “at the beginning” to most people. And especially to ARPG players, because each second is precious. I would have preferred they use “near the start” or “near the beginning.”

Yup, right now the skill is pretty much useless. By the time it shoots the fight is already won or lost.

Oh, it was way, way worse before. When it was first released it was literally “fired towards the end of the barrage” and used pet bonuses. Then it was reduced to 9 seconds and used player bonuses. Then it was reduced to 5 seconds with a new firing animation. And now, finally 3 seconds. But because it takes a second for TBO to fire into the air and land on the ground, it actually explodes at the 4th second.

I really wish Crate would just bite the bullet and make it fire on the FIRST shot. They can nerf the damage or whatever if they need to. Or they can make it a 15%-25% chance proc so you don’t have to keep recasting the trap for TBO.

It’s not useless, but even with all these buffs it could still be a bit quicker. To be honest with you it still doesn’t feel 3sec, but longer.

The best would be make it a proc. that would be absolutely godlike.

To give credit to crate though, they took a skill that was initially entirely useless and buffed the shit out of it (especially with the patch that changed it from lame slow ball to up-shot projectile) to the point where it’s really good.

if they made TBO now a proc, it would be even better, maybe pretty much perfect.
