The future of Grim Dawn IP

I have the feeling the storyleaves room for many episodes, which I understand, but my biggest fear is to be in a story whose conclusion might remain unknown.

It seems each victory in the game is small compared to the power of Aetherians and Chtonians.

I wonder if it is better to keep having add-ons or consider a sequel to Grim Dawn. Add-ons are fine as long as the global balance of the game is not compromised iI guess?

The devs have stated that future GD DLCs would be determined by how well the first DLC was recevied.

Currently, they are working on a new game, though not much is known about it, except it’s most like not an ARPG as medierra has stated that market is somewhat saturated.

There was never an intent for the game to come to a conclusion on the war with the Aetherials and Chthonians. It was to be a long struggle for the humans to survive and make a resistance.

Making a sequel is not needed, I know what they have to do. I will let them find out, the only way a sequel would be correct. Is if they upgraded the engine they are using, thats it.
