The reason I thought raise the dead may not be great: RR is already low on this build so up-time is important, RR duration on this proc is low, skele have low health, the RR is single target per skeleton melee hit, the proc was bound to doom bolt which means only 2 skeletons per 6 seconds (if they die or target trash then effectiveness suffers).
I understand bat can be very valuable, but here I have doubts because when bound to bloody pox vs single target that only means one bat proc per 5 seconds on average. I doubt Bat is needed for crucible survival because high skilled sigil + decent defences. Overall it does not seem that effective to me. I think eldritch fire on AAR is needed for better up-time, but I guess this may not be necessary for crucible though.
There is no such thing as must. The cost reduction nice to have, but considering that there are so many options for cost reduction it is also far from mandatory. This is not 2016 anymore where cost reduction was like on one constellation, 2 components and MA.
As to Restless Remains, You would have to stack this with multiple sources AND have the Conduit amulet. I’d rather take the Pulsating Crystal off hand.
Well it depends from the build, for chaos you can’t take pulsing shard.Ghoul+restless remains+conduit even with low WD will grant you some sustain and they have secondary benefits.Restless remains 10% cast speed,Ghoul physical resistance and conduit +3% all resistances, elemental res, extra res and energy regen on top.
I agree, good setup. My only beef is when people say x is mandatory or y is when it simply not that simple, especially when there are so many problems to take care off. Armor, DA, OA, resists, max resists, resist overcap, health, energy, regen, etc etc.
lightning AAR , build used in video , also showing mi’s to prove start of video.
no double green, super cheap gear that any1 decent player can get or trade.
first try 1 video, playstyle and such ofc will be better other tries.
devotions not set in stone, you are tailor. offensive version of this build deletes ben’jahr in 3.5 secs, keep in mind this is abit defensive stuff.
12 mins not bad for naked AAR… not great char for crucible tons of problems like targetting when mobs close to you, pathing, line’ing mobs and goes on… solid performer on SR tho, id have to say that, pretty much king.
posting here incase i dont wanna write guide of it. i can push this char sr 75 with this version, sr +85 90plus with small gear and devotion tricks. challange me if you want…
What is the general consensus on the best exclusive skill to choose for Mage Hunter builds? On paper RP seems to give the biggest damage boost to AAR with its attack speed and aether damage boost, but I keep seeing people say to go with Censure. That seems weird to me since it focuses on fire damage which isn’t even a part of an AAR build. I can see an argument for going with Conviction since there are lightning buffs that would pair with Stormbox, Disintegration, and Mirror.
But why Censure? Does anyone have some rough numbers to prove to me that Censure outputs more dps in a AAR Mage Hunter build, because I don’t see it. I’m fairly new to the game so I don’t understand all the intricacies, but it doesn’t make sense to me that Censure would outperform both RP and Conviction.
Why Aura of Censure? Because of it’s Reduced target’s Damage and the Elemental Resistance Reduction. This is one of the best Exclusive skills you can get. As a Mage Hunter, you will want to use the various means to convert the Aether Damage to something else. Popular MH AAR characters will convert to Lightning as that is the easiest way. Alternatively, you could skip AAR and use Obliteration from the Tome of the Arcane Wastes instead to deal all Elemental Damage, but it hits for far less damage than AAR does.
